Taster Workshop

When What Goes Around first started, lots of people asked, “what is it you do?” In very simple terms, we help make work a better place by helping people to engage with their work and with each other. “But how do you do that?” almost always follows. A good question that needs a good answer. So, with the help of some friends and associates, we devised our taster workshop. We deliver these for not-for-profit organisations, and private and public sector organisations too. These workshops have helped people with engagement, service improvement, leadership, and CSR implementation. And we believe they can help you too.

So what exactly are you giving us then?

World Café

A half day workshop delivered using a method called World Café, which is a powerful way to:

  • Clarify purpose and strategic intent
  • Explore critical issues and questions
  • Engage all key stakeholders
  • Skilfully use collaborative social technologies
  • Guide collective intelligence toward effective action

The method, originated by Juanita Brown, is engaging in itself, easy and enjoyable to practice and use. It is used by major corporations and by Governments, and NGOs and in the world of education.

After the session we write a short report for you with suggestions and recommendations to you and your teams. The report will also include some visual cues from the workshop. We also include a one-hour debrief call with the workshop participants to answer any questions and kick any further ideas around. We will also give you a detailed brief on the World Café method for you to use again and subscription for all your people to the What Goes Around newsletter.

How Much Does This Cost?

Our project fees are £1,500 per day, so typically a facilitated session like this might cost £3,000 or so, depending on the number of people and preparation. For a half-day taster workshop plus all the preparations and follow up detailed above, we charge a reduced rate of £2,000.

What’s The Value?

Immediate impact on your organisation, increased enthusiasm and new ideas from your people and the opportunity to try out and learn the method itself. It’s a powerful and easy tool to engage teams in creating effective results.
